Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Services

Smart Home Services provides smart home consultation, design, installation, and support services. Specific services, pricing, and timelines will be outlined in individual project proposals and agreements.

Project Agreements

Each project is governed by a separate project agreement that specifies:

  • Scope of work
  • Timeline and milestones
  • Pricing and payment terms
  • Warranties and guarantees
  • Product specifications

Payment Terms

Payment terms vary by project and will be specified in your project agreement. Generally:

  • A deposit may be required to begin work
  • Progress payments may be due at milestones
  • Final payment is due upon project completion
  • Support packages are billed monthly or annually as specified

Warranties

We stand behind our work. Our installation warranty covers labor for 90 days from project completion. Product warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and vary by product.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smart Home Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

Your Responsibilities

As our client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your home and needs
  • Ensure safe access to work areas
  • Obtain any necessary permits or HOA approvals
  • Make timely payments as agreed
  • Notify us of any issues promptly

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Smart Home Services and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Third-Party Products

Our services may involve installation of third-party products. We are not responsible for defects, discontinuation, or changes to third-party products. We will make reasonable efforts to select reliable products and assist with warranty claims.

Cancellation Policy

Project cancellation terms are specified in individual project agreements. Generally, deposits are non-refundable after work has begun or materials have been ordered.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with Oregon law.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
